One baseball rule I've never understood is only allowing two bases for a ball that bounces over the fence.



And, given how crappily pitchers can control their pitches, maybe penalize HBP more. Not that Kerkering threw at Pete, but that was a Nuke Laloosh pitch.

Something like fan interference is subject to umpire judgement.

But a ball bouncing out of play falls under the designation of 'Grounds Rule' so it's an automatic call.

I don't think Diaz has ever found his sweeping 2022 slider, but his current slider has a drop and is working sort of like a sinker or change, and that's what he got Harper on.



I think he's starting to have confidence in what he has rather than searching for what he's lost.
