It's also pretty great (a) not to see any sign of a letdown after the sweep, (B) having all three members of the A-team in the booth to call it, and © have Lindor on our side.

I don't know if Nimmo senses it, but on the days he starts in center, they seem to be choosing an ever-earlier inning in which they put in Bader or Taylor and move him over to a corner.



Granted, it's as often as not about getting the corner guy out of the game as to get Nimmo off center.

Larry Vanover has tickets tonight to see Los Dos Carnales, Juanma, Salazar, and EL YAKI at La Boom in Woodside, and he'll be damned if he's going to be late.

Larry Vanover thinks he's paying the Mets back by punching out Jarren Duran there, but he's going to need one or two more of those to get even.

After getting Duran. Young suddenly loses the strike zone. Walk and hit batter brings the Red Sox best hitter up. Wild pitch moves the runners into scoring position.

Whew. Devers hits a soft grounder to McNeil to end the inning. Way more anxiety than I wanted in that inning.



We need a run or two to reduce the stress in the ninth.

As Young headed back to the dugout, I flashed on Jorge Lopez tossing his glove over the net back at the end of May.



Feels like a long time since then.
