Mets Roster Central is reporting that it's sadly taking a Dedniel Nuñez Injured List assignment and Shintaro Fujinami DFA to get Kodai Senga activated.



What's even more notable is that Adrian Houser has been DFA'd as well. That shouldn't be particularly surprising, as he has skated safely at the back end of the roster for a good chunk of the season, but what makes it odd, is that DFA-ing him alone should have been enough to add Senga, so one should expect that the Mets will be adding another pitcher — quite possibly a non-roster guy — by gametime. There's a little buzz happening around Syracuse's Matt Gage, but I think he threw last night.



Or maybe a deal is on the table.

Eric Orze looking for redemption. Has been called up -- though can obviously go right back to Salt City if there is a deal.

I suspect a deal is afoot. But maybe it won't happen today, and Orze can get a chance to lower his infinite ERA if the Mets have a lead of ten or more to protect.
