An early release of Friday's IGT as not sure when/if I'll have free time tomorrow prior to game time.

Rockies are the 3rd worst team in MLB this year, better only than the White Sox and Marlins (by just a half game) pending the end of Thursday's games.

A bit better lately (5-5 in July following a 7-20 June) but awful on the road even by Rockies standards, a stunningly bad 13-33

Dead last in runs allowed by nearly a full R/G!! (5.86). And while you can say, sure, it's the ballpark, they're also 3rd worst in RS/G (4.14)

Also no Kris Bryant (IL) and possibly no Charlie Blackmon (not IL'd but sitting lately).

Tanner Gordon gets the start in Game One: He's big (they all are now), RH, 2nd start of his ML career (6/7 vs KCR - 5R, 8 H, 6.1 IP)

6th round pick of the Braves in 2019, traded at the deadline last July.

The smoking hot Sean Manaea will oppose: 6 R (5 ER)/15 Hits over his last 5 starts/28.2 IP

P.S. I'm currently the author of the top four threads in the Baseball Forum. It makes me feel just like the 1964 Beatles!!

I feel like it's surprising that Alonso has numbers as good as he does. It feels like he's been grinding most of the season and he looks pretty lost right now.

Does anyone else wish they would keep the picture behind the catcher through the pitch and swing?

It's a nice angle that doesn't get used much

I don't know what to make of his numbers. They seem down but there are the 18 homers and such

He has not been participating much in this potent offense for some time

I feel bad for him

Two-run homers > Solo Shots. That's just basic math.

The Mets' most homers in a game came against the Phillies on August 24, 2015, with 8 home runs.

Name those eight sluggers. One Met per post.

And remember, replay reviews are going to be quick. Yeah right!

Between replays (2), a pitching change, and a manager ejection and subsequent argument, I feel like there's been about ten pitches thrown in the last 15 minutes
