Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 4, 2024 Posted July 4, 2024 Marc grew up a Mets fan.The two times I went to a game at Shea with DGW, he recognized Marc. Apparently, they both had the same instinct for finding an interesting perspective, and would end up in the same perch.

dgwphotography Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2024 Posted July 5, 2024 I first met Marc during fireworks night at Shea in 1990. It was the first night I tried shooting the fireworks there, and he was really helpful. His shot was of course on the yearbook cover the next season.

Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2024 Posted July 10, 2024 They showed this on the big screen last night along with galleries of his work between innings and after Geico stolen-base challenges if time allowed.I should say Marc and I disagree on the greatness of his Seaver-Piazza picture. Not that the image isn't good but I have only bad memories of that day and found their roles in walking to the new stadium together cheesy

cal sharpie Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2024 Posted July 10, 2024 Ron and Gary commute from Connecticut.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2024 Posted July 10, 2024 DGW does most of his work closer to central and southern Connecticut* than where they live (I'm guessing between Greenwich and Westport in Fairfield County), but I may be wrong.Later* = He photographs a lot of CIAC sports.
DocTee Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2024 Posted July 10, 2024 For years I commuted from Fairfield County (Soupcan, MFS62 and I were neighbors, I think) to within spitting distance of Shea. Then I got divorced and moved to Queens, only to have my job shifted to Staten Island. So I traded a 90-minute 55 mile commute, for a 90 minute 30 mile commute. Such is life.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 10, 2024 Posted July 10, 2024 I love my home, but my wife and I have an understanding. If I get a gig with the Mets, I go where I gotta.
