Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 5, 2024 Author Posted May 5, 2024 The Mets have re-taken the lead. It's bleaktastic.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 5, 2024 Author Posted May 5, 2024 How many of these hits have been hit past the firstbaseman, forced to hold the runner on?
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2024 Posted May 5, 2024 Bases loaded, one out: Potentially bleak (as is Mets fashion).

metirish Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2024 Posted May 5, 2024 The Mets have only 7 more wins than the Marlins, Ron
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2024 Posted May 5, 2024 While we're watching the Mets sputter as they try to put together a solid team, make sure to https://phpbb3.leaptoad.com/mets/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=32840&start=625Guess that Met as there is a backlog of questions.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 5, 2024 Author Posted May 5, 2024 DRIVE SOBER OR=#FF5910]GET PULLED OVERKind of a wet noodle of a threat.
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2024 Posted May 5, 2024 I think "Drive Drunk and get stuffed in a trunk" would be more effective, with the ad ending with the visual of the back of a hearse shutting.

Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2024 Posted May 5, 2024 Jorge Lopez has far exceeded my expectations thus far.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 5, 2024 Author Posted May 5, 2024 Apart from a one or two briefly appearing shuttle guys, López is the Mets reliever I trust perhaps the least, but here he is with a 2.12 ERA.
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2024 Posted May 5, 2024 His 0.5 WAR with the Mets this year has brought his career WAR up to ...0.1.
Radar Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2024 Posted May 5, 2024 Alonzo needs to sit a game and try to reset. He looks lost.
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2024 Posted May 5, 2024 The reality is Alonso is a large, high-strikeout, high-power, low-average guy. They shine bright for a few years, then they collapse. Which is why you never see those .230 guys who are "on pace" for 500 home runs at 28 never actually get there, because they totally fall apart. Alonso's demise is inevitable...but hopefully this isn't it.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2024 Posted May 5, 2024 Omg, the poor workout guy that can't open the water bottle will never live this down
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 5, 2024 Author Posted May 5, 2024 Not a typical experience to have to sweat through an inning by Garrett.
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2024 Posted May 5, 2024 Tomas Nido. There is nothing neato about that guy coming to the plate.
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2024 Posted May 5, 2024 For those interested:"Senga (shoulder) completed a 32-pitch live batting practice session Saturday, Abbey Mastracco of the New York Daily News reports.Advice: Facing hitters in extended live BP session marks a major milestone in Senga's recovery from a right posterior shoulder capsule strain, which caused him to miss most of spring training and resulted in him opening the season on the 15-day injured list before he was shifted to the 60-day IL on April 10. He won't be eligible to make his season debut until May 27, but Senga appears on target to return on or around that date based on where he currently stands in his recovery. The Mets will see how he bounces back from Saturday's throwing session over the next couple of days before deciding whether he's ready to report to a minor-league affiliate to begin a rehab assignment, or if he'll need to throw another live BP before doing so."--Rotowire.com via Yahoo
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 5, 2024 Author Posted May 5, 2024 Reid-Foley not showing anything here.
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2024 Posted May 5, 2024 He's not looking good so far today, but he's Reed Garrett Jr. so far for the season: 5.1 IP, 10 K, 0.00 ERA.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 5, 2024 Author Posted May 5, 2024 The 9–3 double-play is Reid-Foley's secret weapon.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2024 Posted May 5, 2024 Gotta admire the way Reid-Foley competes.
