Yes, if you are born with the bases loaded and then your team makes two scoreless outs, and then you die, and so you experience nothing before or after, then that it is certainly a disappointing outcome.



As far as "Mets fashion," I tend to like the Mets, and I don't believe there is anything usual or distinctive to the Mets about failure.
