Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 30, 2024 Posted April 30, 2024 Sean Manaea using "Just the Two of Us" for entrance music?Whatever works, man.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2024 Posted April 30, 2024 Anyway, Mike Trout has a torn meniscus
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 30, 2024 Posted April 30, 2024 Man, I forget how much Assad looks like a graduate assistant in the sociology department.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2024 Posted April 30, 2024 Not a smart throw by Wisdom on the SB attempt.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 30, 2024 Posted April 30, 2024 Terrific first. Only one run, but Assad threw 25 pitches and struck out nobiddy.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 30, 2024 Posted April 30, 2024 If the coaches positioned Hoerner a step more to his left, Assad might be throwing a one-hitter.

The ball probably needed to hit Lindor last night in order to get a call where the simple act of him being on the wrong side of the line there other day triggers the call.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2024 Posted April 30, 2024 Baty, while not exactly GG material at 3B, looks smoother and much less mechanical as compared to Vientos.* my spell-check is far too hyper. I was just about to post when I realized my sentence identified Baby and Vents.
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2024 Posted April 30, 2024 DJ Stewart, hitting .196, the second-lowest BA in the lineup, has the second-highest OPS in the lineup. Wacky!
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2024 Posted April 30, 2024 Manaea and Severino pitching like their old selves this year. If they keep it up, their top four will be one for the ages (well, in Mets terms, at least).

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2024 Posted April 30, 2024 Javier Assad, especially when said quickly by announcers, sounds far too much like Hafez al-Assad.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2024 Posted April 30, 2024 And speaking of going out of the baseline ... I'm not sure what Happ was yapping about over that inning ending play at 1st.
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2024 Posted April 30, 2024 (edited) While we're here:"[senga] Hits mid-90s in bullpenSenga (shoulder) reached the mid-90s with his fastball during Monday's bullpen against live hitters and used all of his pitches in the session, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.Advice: The Mets have been very deliberate so far with Senga's recovery from a shoulder capsule strain, but the organization's patience seems to be paying off. While the right-hander feels he will be back in the big-league rotation right around when he's first eligible to come off the IL on May 27, general manager David Stearns wouldn't sign off on that timeline, indicating Monday that he couldn't say whether Senga would be back in late May or early June. The 31-year-old is set to face live hitters two more times before beginning a rehab assignment around May 11."___Let's go Sean...he has a perfect ERA so far! Edited April 30, 2024 by Guest
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2024 Posted April 30, 2024 As was the case last night, they got their run for the night in the first inning and seem like they're lookingforward to winning the extra inning coin flip game.
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2024 Posted April 30, 2024 I don't even remember how the Mets acquired Reid-Foley.
