Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted March 28, 2024 Posted March 28, 2024 Sean Reid-Foley's shoulder, that is.He will start the year on the IL, giving a spots to Yohan Ramirez and Michael Tonkin, whom I thought had made it anyway.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted March 28, 2024 Posted March 28, 2024 I could tell from the subject title that this was going to be about a newly reported injury.I'm relieved that it's not someone more important to the Mets' hopes than Sean Reid-Foley.
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted March 28, 2024 Posted March 28, 2024 I'm relieved the Mets didn't have to risk losing one of those three relievers, even if this just kicks that problem down the road a bit. And I guess this injury is legit and not a paper-shuffling exercise in the post-Billy Eppler era!
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted March 28, 2024 Posted March 28, 2024 It's good that Tonkin has some sort of resolution, even if only temporarily.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 28, 2024 Posted March 28, 2024 I imagine the main outcome of the Eppler case will be less folks won't abuse the Injured List anymore and more folks will be more careful about dotting their i's and crossing their t's, and will keep everything close to the vest, when abusing the Injured List.
