Edgy MD Site Manager Posted February 15, 2024 Posted February 15, 2024 By my count, there are three Mets who finished 2023 with the team who have yet to find 2024 employers. That's besides the Zach Muckenhirns of the world who were Mets in 2023 but moved on to other organizations during the season.Which will be the last guy to find an employer for the current fiscal year?https://img.mlbstatic.com/mlb-photos/image/upload/d_people:generic:headshot:67:current.png/w_213,q_auto:best/v1/people/656322/headshot/67/current> https://img.mlbstatic.com/mlb-photos/image/upload/d_people:generic:headshot:67:current.png/w_213,q_auto:best/v1/people/641796/headshot/67/current> https://img.mlbstatic.com/mlb-photos/image/upload/d_people:generic:headshot:67:current.png/w_213,q_auto:best/v1/people/596129/headshot/67/current>
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted February 15, 2024 Posted February 15, 2024 I voted for Locastro but I forgot the was the "fast" guy. I think there's probably a 25th roster spot for him somewhere. I can see Vogey getting singed by the A's or something. I think Coonrod's your guy here. Shitty relief pitcher and by all accounts a shitty guy, too. He'll be lucky to find an employer.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted February 15, 2024 Posted February 15, 2024 I'd totally sign Vogey to a minor league deal.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted February 15, 2024 Author Posted February 15, 2024 Signing Vogey can help your ticket sales, as he is actually on the verge of an all-time career record. Most Games Played with 0 Stolen-Base Attempts in the Integration Era (Since 1950) Javier Valentin: 631 games Johnny Estrada: 612 games Daniel Vogelbach: 571 gamesHistory happening before your very eyes.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted February 15, 2024 Posted February 15, 2024 Vogey would be a great draw in Syracuse. And maybe he homers his way back to Flushing, giving the Mets the courage to trade Alonso for 2 young stud pitchers

Terrance Gore, 2022 Met, never found a 2023 employer, but according to Mets Roster Central, never announced a retirement either.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted February 16, 2024 Posted February 16, 2024 Vogey's off the board and in Canada.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted February 29, 2024 Author Posted February 29, 2024 All you Coonrod voters can count yourself as winners. But since there were no Coonrod voters, the prize money gets doubled over into next week's prediction contest, or something.Coony, meanwhile is https://wlds.com/audio/sam-coonrod-retirement-talk-sos-2-24/leaning toward retirement.
