Do we need to talk about Christopher Morel

The Cubs (or at least, their fans) seem to think that they'll have Pete Alonso on their team by Opening Day. I keep seeing "buzz" about how the Cubs would center a trade package around Christopher Morel.



I, for one, am not intrigued by this.

Nothing about his track record so far that indicates he would be an adequate replacement for Pete in the lineup.

Would have to be a helluva package with him only a part.
