One of our Mainers is Mike Bordick.

Bordick attended high school and college in Maine, but he was actually born in Michigan. As far as I can tell, there's two players from Maine who have donned a Mets uniform. One spent an inordinate amount of time with his original team, despite underwhelming for the majority of his career; I also wonder if he liked microwave macaroni and cheese. The other one probably inspired the questions, "Is he going to win this year for us? Willey or won't he?"



Also, apparently Dick Scott, the former Mets coach, was born in Maine, too. Who knew.
