ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2023 Posted June 29, 2023 I thought Don Mincher might play first base for the Pilots tonight with Bouton on the mound

metirish Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2023 Posted June 29, 2023 Is the 1 for Carrasco the innings he'll pitch?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2023 Posted June 29, 2023 Hey, not just a scoreless 1st (a rarity by itself) but an efficient one too!
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2023 Posted June 29, 2023 Four batters, one walk, one hit, four outs.Is anything more Joon-ish than that?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 29, 2023 Author Posted June 29, 2023 I was away for a moment. How did McNelt get to second base?!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 29, 2023 Author Posted June 29, 2023 That's "Parisian" Bob Caruthers, Gary. A two-way star who looked like he weight 140 soaking wet.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 29, 2023 Author Posted June 29, 2023 I'm kinda thinking a sinkerballer would be a good day to sit Vogelbach, who is mashing the high pitch but doing nothing (often not even moving his bat) with anything below the waist. Maybe put McNeil at DH and start Guillorme at second.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2023 Posted June 29, 2023 It's bad enough that the first HR in a back-to-back was solo, but does the second one have to be solo too?!?Why does that always seem to happen to us?

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 29, 2023 Author Posted June 29, 2023 I'll take it.I'll take those two homers along with it.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2023 Posted June 29, 2023 Disgraceful teamwork exhibition
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 29, 2023 Author Posted June 29, 2023 Álvarez wasn't in the way, Gary Cohen. Scherzer was.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 29, 2023 Author Posted June 29, 2023 Well, we're getting some consistent starting pitching through a full turn the rotation for the first time since ... all year?
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2023 Posted June 29, 2023 No mea Kulpa's behind the plate tonight
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2023 Posted June 29, 2023 Considering the atmospheric conditions over maye 1/3 of MLB ballparks now and in recent weeks, do you suppose any of them have thought about nixing the in-stadium fireworks after each home HR (or, in the case of Atlanta, after each strikeout by the home hurler)?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 29, 2023 Author Posted June 29, 2023 Scherzer not looking like the same guy in inning six.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 29, 2023 Author Posted June 29, 2023 And now it's not the same score in inning six.Poop.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2023 Posted June 29, 2023 Tie game in the 6th ... which means our win pct for this game just fell to 3%
