Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 The Leone makes 'em sleep tonight.Strands the Manfred Man
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 They score the goofy runner in the 10th, and they win.Man, what a time to be without Nido's awesome bunting skillz.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 Three lefties on the bench but they let Vientos hit.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 Crazy couple of days for Nimms
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 Hearing Brandon say "Gosh-dang!" with a cowboy scratchiness is hilarious.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 His mama probably admonished him for swearing.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2023 Posted June 15, 2023 I went to bed after the steal of home, I was beat and I didn't like the way the game had trended right there. Glad they righted it.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2023 Posted June 15, 2023 I did the same , so happy to see the score this morning
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2023 Posted June 15, 2023 I took the night off. Mets fatiguedIt worked!!
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2023 Author Posted June 15, 2023 I went to bed too after that bizzarro dish theft.Missed the biggest win of the month. Feels like the only win of the month. And no Mets Fast Forward on DVR. And it's an off day.Ten games out, can't even sniff .500 yet...

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 15, 2023 Posted June 15, 2023 You guys missed a weird game. I know it's tough to watch when the team has been subverting itself, but there were some bold performances too. Nimmo ends up being the hero after nearly blowing two games in a row. Plus, the Mets somehow out-bullpenned the Yankees, if only just. The pulled off only their third intentional walk of the year, and got away with it, even though they sort of had to talk themselves into it.Also no homeruns, after three homers the night before.

I'm too tired at 10 PM to watch that kind of slop.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2023 Posted June 15, 2023 I think the team that deserved to win each of those two games found a way not to.
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2023 Author Posted June 18, 2023 I was doing some POTG game voting before and noticed that Escobaris noted for 2 R. I checked another box score and it also had 2 R. Howdid he do that yet seemingly not reaching base?I can probably figure out something but rather go the lazy route firstand just ask here.
