batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2023 Posted June 3, 2023 (edited) My John Sullivan memory is buying a minty condition copy of his 1967 Topps Mets card on lower Broadway from a sidewalk vendor for one dollar about 30 years ago. That card is a "high number" and worth hundreds of dollars today depending on its condition. I guess the seller didn't know. It was probably worth about five or maybe 10 bucks when I bought it.https://www.ebay.com/itm/384784640870?chn=ps&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-222657-2056-0&mkcid=2&mkscid=101&itemid=384784640870&targetid=&device=c&mktype=pla&googleloc=9004359&poi=&campaignid=18943809114&mkgroupid=&rlsatarget=&abcId=9303523&merchantid=223143695&gclid=CjwKCAjwyeujBhA5EiwA5WD7_cyVftXia-EVLFi7dmkaWXIXi6DkkzKjY5USIR5k4sDH2-5iEL7mmBoCLYUQAvD_BwEhttps://www.ebay.com/itm/384784640870?chn=ps&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-222657-2056-0&mkcid=2&mkscid=101&itemid=384784640870&targetid=&device=c&mktype=pla&googleloc=9004359&poi=&campaignid=18943809114&mkgroupid=&rlsatarget=&abcId=9303523&merchantid=223143695&gclid=CjwKCAjwyeujBhA5EiwA5WD7_cyVftXia-EVLFi7dmkaWXIXi6DkkzKjY5USIR5k4sDH2-5iEL7mmBoCLYUQAvD_BwESullivan was a one-year Met and caught, among others, the rookie Tom Seaver.
