Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 3, 2023 Posted June 3, 2023 Varsho almost beat that rundown, but the reason McNeil almost lost him was because he didn't want to spike him.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2023 Posted June 3, 2023 Gelbs doing play-by-play makes me appreciate Gary just that much more.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 3, 2023 Posted June 3, 2023 Yeah, production out of the DH slot is devoutly to be wished, and much to be celebrated.

Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2023 Posted June 3, 2023 Megill pitching awkwardly but effectively so far.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2023 Posted June 3, 2023 He's just got to stop walking dudes. He came into day with 1 walk for every 2 IP and that's gone up today. It's nearly double his previous rates. And in addition to the baserunners it's killing his pitch count (75 thru 4 today) and putting tons of pressure (and innings) on the pen.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2023 Posted June 3, 2023 Small miracle that Megoo went unscored upon
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 3, 2023 Posted June 3, 2023 Five innings, five hits, five walks, and five strikeouts.I think he's not long for this game.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 3, 2023 Posted June 3, 2023 And there he goes, one batter later.A laboring performance, but effective enough, if Ray Lee can get us out of this.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 3, 2023 Posted June 3, 2023 Yeah, it's been a rough day all around for him.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2023 Posted June 3, 2023 The score of this game would be a lot better for us if Francisco Lindor were still alive and playing.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2023 Posted June 3, 2023 A loss here will put a good dent into the warm feeling the Phillies sweep producedPete could use a day also
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2023 Posted June 3, 2023 Leadoff runner on ... which means our run-scoring odds just went down.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 3, 2023 Posted June 3, 2023 Corner outfielders pinching toward the gaps is the new shift.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 3, 2023 Posted June 3, 2023 "The beautiful one-for-four."I've never heard that term.
