Did they explain where's Nimmo? I got here late.

Thanks.

underwhelmed by the insights of the announcers. A lot of platitudes, generalizations, meaningless observations. "It's tough when you lose...if you've got one pitch that no one can hit, keep throwing it" sort of thing. Or have I been spoiled by good announcing?

Jean Segura's never played in the post-season "You don't want to be on that list" Ya think? How do they figger it's desirable to play in the post-season?

"I figured out something about third to first base--it's very level"

Have these guys never considered shutting up if they have nothing to say?

So they're telling me that that review Definitively Showed that Realmuto, who showed NO sign of being hit by the pitch, was hit by the pitch?!?!?

Ridiculous. Tylor McGill's mother tweeted that if it hit him he would have broken his finger.

On further review, the guys in Chelsea have gotten drunk tonight.

Nice job by Girardi, removing his pitcher with 2 outs, none on, down 6 to get a lefty in to face Mazeika. Jackass.

And ESPN has to work in one last Yankee comment. Amazin'.

Saturday night in a fashionable nightlife neighborhood with the best galleries. Breezy late-spring evening. Looking across the river at Hoboken from the Skyline? Checking out the Basquiat pieces at The Starrett-Lehigh Building.

Let's not judge here.

Nice to have the series 'W' heading into the Wheeler game.

At worst you still take two of three and stealing tomorrow's game would make it extra sweet against a division opponent.

What it does is provides more evidence that the claim of, 'if replay corrects even one bad call then it's worth it', is a total lie.

Right, I flipped over to the Ranger game and had ESPN on the brain.

Not quoting anyone one person specifically, but some form of that quote has been used as an all-purpose rationale in favor of replay reviews for decades now. My point being that judging the justification for the rule on that standard alone is wildly misleading as it ignores so many downsides.

Replace Smith with Nimmo (and shuffle positions accordingly for defense) and this is the best Mets lineup. Guillorme is out hitting Smith and Davis right now and may just be better than either of them. of course, if the DH spot is the one that is 'open' you might expect Plummer or Magnum or Vientos to be the best option in the organization right now if defense doesnt matter.
