Good weather, a ceremony that didn't get messed up, multiple new guys being productive in their new digs, disappointing acquisitions from previous seasons being productive in their quest for a new start. And unless I missed it, nobody ruined it by spinning "Piano Man."

I am de-lurking to report on the lovely day we had at Citi Field. Got there right around 10am and started to tailgate. Didn't attend the Seaver statue ceremony but got an up-close view of it as we walked into the stadium. Got there early enough to get a Jackie Robinson t-shirt, but as it was size L, there was no way I was going to fit into it, so it's going to my son to wear.

It really was a picture-perfect day, not a cloud in the sky. Our seats were right next to the foul pole in right field and we were in the sun all day. Nice to see the new LED screens in action. Definitely noticed the upgrade.

Surprised to see Butch Huskey emerge from the wall in center field between innings mid-game.

Fans in right field were in love with Starling Marte, and Marte showed the love back to the fans. Definitely a love-fest.

It was for the most part a well-pitched game, with plenty of timely hits and impressive bombs to boot. You can't ask for much more.

They played it in the 8th inning, although I am not sure how that would ruin anything?
