There were some stories a few years ago that portrayed him as a nightmare boss. There's probably a discussion of this buried somewhere in our archives.

A guy at the old forum was a little bitter that he interviewed for a job with the Mets' press office as a young man, and when asked if he could be available 24-7, he was all "Sure, except for the Shabbos," and he apparently got something less than a high-five from Jay.



I don't know if that answer is really what kept him from getting the job, but he saw it that way.
