Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 7, 2022 Posted April 7, 2022 In an under-the-radar deal today (which is now yesterday), the Mets acquired righthanded starter Adonis Medina from the Pirates for ca$h con$iderations. Adonis had brief tenures with the Phils each of the last two seasons but was grabbed by the Pirates about two weeks ago when the Phils tried to sneak him through waivers. The Pirates, like many teams at the end of spring training, were in a roster bind, and had designated Adonis for assignment. The Mets instantly assigned Medina to AAA, and while you could see where they might be getting antsy about their starting pitching depth, the deal could prove costly, as they were forced to designate Ben Grimm-fave Yennsy Diaz for assignment.THAT IS ALL GOOD NIGHT!![FIMG=500]https://www.philliesnation.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/06202019-316-1280x720.jpg[/FIMG]

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2022 Posted April 8, 2022 Me too. He was undoubtedly the Yennsiest player the Mets have ever had.
