In my imaginary United States Cup bracket tournament of teams representing their states, the mid-century squad of Oklahomans would be formidable every year, with the Mantle brothers, Terry, Cal McLish, Alvin Dark, Allie Reynolds, and Jim Beauchamp, among others.



Heck, they might've gotten even better after Mantle's retirement, with Johnny Bench and Willie Stargell taking over.
