Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 Also the World Series MVP in 1962.In my imaginary United States Cup bracket tournament of teams representing their states, the mid-century squad of Oklahomans would be formidable every year, with the Mantle brothers, Terry, Cal McLish, Alvin Dark, Allie Reynolds, and Jim Beauchamp, among others.Heck, they might've gotten even better after Mantle's retirement, with Johnny Bench and Willie Stargell taking over.

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted March 17, 2022 Posted March 17, 2022 Ralph Terry was the 17th oldest living Met. With his death, Cliff Cook moves into the Top Twenty and Jack Fisher moves into the Top Forty.
