Since they exempt PH ABs from counting as a mound visit, every PH situation now almost automatically brings a mound visit.

iow, their rule change designed to shorten the game is lengthening it.

The stolen base is a vastly under utilized weapon. For a team that struggles to score, they should be looking to "manufacture runs" and pressure the defense any way they can. Luckily, Villar walks.

Exactly. It's not like these Mets are doing much better than the playing-for-the-future Nationals.

Another game, another Mets loss. The contrast between true World Series contenders (Dodgers & Giants) and playoff pretenders (Mets) was quite apparent this past 2 weeks. Good teams find a way to win close games, this team seems to find ways to lose them.
