In the fifth, Mets were down 6-0 but strung together 5 straight hits against Ryu. Runners on first and second, 1 out, and the Blue Jays pull Ryu for the righty.



McNeil and Conforto are both on the bench as lefties.



At the time, I considered it and figured it would have been too early to go to a matchup-based pinch hitter.



But then Davis and McCann both struck out and that was last best chance to win.

Really? I know you like throw guys overboard and call "Next" but I can't imagine why. I think next right now is Jesús Reyes, and he's 0-8 // 6.52. In AAA.
