bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2021 Posted June 25, 2021 Three requirements of every Mets game:1) the batters will swing and miss at pitches out of the strike zone;2) McCann will suck;3) Castro will pitch.I read "Black Edge" and if a market analyst told Cohen something that cost him to waste $40.6 million the analyst would be fired. Who told Cohen that McCann was a good idea?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2021 Posted June 25, 2021 Saddle up boys, cuz this one's in the bag.The only question left is who's gonna play the hero.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 25, 2021 Posted June 25, 2021 Seven-inning games can be deceptively leveling in that they help out teams with shallower pitching staffs, which is part of what's going on today.

Chad ochoseis Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2021 Posted June 25, 2021 It has been fun this season finally watching the Mets play heads-up defense while the other guys play heads-up-ass defense.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 25, 2021 Posted June 25, 2021 Peraza may have been the better pick over Almora here. And he goes down.
Chad ochoseis Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2021 Posted June 25, 2021 Has McNeil ever made an out and not slammed his helmet as soon as he got to the dugout?
Chad ochoseis Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2021 Posted June 25, 2021 Good Francisco is better than Bad Francisco! I think I'm 10 seconds behind the local broadcast. I saw Lunch's post before I saw the hit.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2021 Posted June 25, 2021 That line from the drug cop in GOODFELLOWS when the bring in the drug paraphernalia comes to mind about Alvarado: BYE BYE DICKHEAD
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 25, 2021 Posted June 25, 2021 Ranger Suarez should be traded to Texas for somebody named Phil.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 25, 2021 Posted June 25, 2021 If we double-switch out the guy who makes the last out, do we have to use the pitcher as the designated runner, or do we have the option of choosing the previous hitter also?
Chad ochoseis Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2021 Posted June 25, 2021 Don't like the intentional walk strategy here.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 25, 2021 Posted June 25, 2021 The delayed calls from this ump are ridonculous.Lindor on second. Let's go win this thing.

Chad ochoseis Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2021 Posted June 25, 2021 Really? I thought it was practically a no-brainer.LH hitter, best hitter on the team,, set up the force ...Harper hasn't been that good this year. And if he drives in the Manfred Man, that's an easy run to make up. If the runner on first winds up scoring, that's much harder to make up.And, never mind. METS WIN!!
