MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2021 Posted May 18, 2021 Three good innings of Good Reid-Foley, as it turns out, which means a lot more than squat. Can he be this generation's Terry Leach, coming out of the bullpen to become their most effective starter? We won't know unless he gets some fucking starts. He's already gone four innings. Why use an "opener?" Start him and stretch him out as long as he can go, and then bring in the more competent members of the bullpen to finish the game. But then, there I go trying to be logical again.I gotta' stop doing that.Later

G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2021 Posted May 18, 2021 From Mets PR:The New York Mets have announced the following update regarding outfielder Kevin Pillar. After being hit by a pitch in the top of the seventh inning last night, Pillar suffered multiple nasal fractures. He will be meeting with a facial specialist in Atlanta to determine next steps.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 18, 2021 Posted May 18, 2021 I thought it caught his temple as he was turning away, and then continued into his nose sideways, but it seems to have slammed into his beak unimpeded.
