Twenty-One Prediction Fun: James McCann

I don't want to hear the name Realmuto, and if I play the way I know I can, you won't be hearing it that often either.

I'm James McCann, and as disturbed as I am by the lack of traction Trevor May's T-OPF thread seems to have gotten, I'm next up. I'm the catcher no one particularly wanted, but no one particularly knew much about, because I've spent my career in the 10-man league. But Sandy knew, because Sandy knows all.

Anyhow, I have a sub-.700 OPS but I picked the right time to be a free agent, because last year, I hit like gangbusters. I went over a hundred points higher than my previous best OPS. It was like the short-season version of Todd Hundley 1996. Only I didn't cheat. Why? What have you heard?

Coming off a career year makes my coming season no small challenge to predict. Some might think you can't. I'm betting you McCANN.

He someone says he cheated, he was framed, though not as well as Jim has learned to frame pitches.

He will be an asset to the staff defensively, and to the team offensively.

120 G, .266 - 15- 72.

He'll have the year I'd hoped Schneider would have when he arrived. Most valuable in stabilizing the d and staff, whatever he delivers offensively a bonus.

450 PA, 13 homers, 50 RBI, 247/297/437
