So while we were paying attention to trivial things like the future of democracy, MLB announced the 'finalists' for each of their major awards.

I'll say again that I have no idea why they started doing things this way a couple years back as all it does it pre-reveals who the top three vote-getters are.

I guess they think it builds excitement. It doesn't.
