Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 First two guys on, then a walk loads the bases ... and no runs because no one else gets the ball out of the IF (2 Ks)
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 Now two consecutive innings w/bases-loaded and <2 outs results in a grand total of one run.And even the lone hit w/RiSP didn't even cash in a run.Meanwhile, the game is more than two hours old and we're basically at halftime.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2020 Author Posted August 1, 2020 Lol Keith not a fan of the strike zone box. Amusing to me

It's a fuckfest.Yeah, but don't hang too much of this just on the DHWacha threw 96 pitches just to get through the 4th, and Kilome needed 21 to complete his lone inning On the other side, starter Toussaint needed 74 to get thru 4 despite giving up just 3 hits, and then two relievers combined for 31 in the 5thPut another way, the Mets threw basically 8 innings of normal pitching and the Braves 7 frames worth just to get through the 5th, or about half again as many as would be a normal workload.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 Wacha and Toussaint threw an abundance of pitches.Other than that, what a mess
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2020 Author Posted August 1, 2020 Yah I hate watching them get cock stomped like this.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 Maybe Alonso has hangover from last season's homerun derby
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 Oye, we're looking at 20-40At some point the Mets may get to look at many pitchers auditioning for 2021 and that would be productiveWins wise, the 1962 Mets are likely off the (Jay) hook
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 Too bad Kilome couldn't get an AB, he was the only guy worth watching.
