Anyhow, the real bonus material there to me was Torre saying that (a) Bob Gibson advocated for his trade from the Braves, and ( his notion that Gibson (it's hard to say how much he was kidding) knew nothing about baseball except how to pitch.



Also cool to hear that Torre always let a player take over as manager for the final game of the season. I don't know how I didn't know that.
