Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 Very surprised to see Ramos back behind the plate with deGrom on the mound and a DGaaNG.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 BREAK OUT YOUR BROOMS!FUCK WASHINGTON!LETS GOOOOOOOOO
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 The Mets haven't seen a lot of Sanchez in his bland Nationals uniform. He's was hurt earlier this year so the Mets have only faced him for 1 1/3 IP this year (0 ER, 1 H). Mets players haven't had much success against him. Shirtless Mike has a HR but is 1 for 8. Panik is 3 for 6 (if Mickey can cite Panik being 1 for 1 against Dolittle as justification for letting him bat on Friday, I can cite 6 ABs her). Ramos is 6 for 18. Frazier is 1 for 19.Jake has defeated WSH twice this year, 13 IP only 1 ER. Adam "The Mortgage King" Eaton is 6 for 15 against Jake with a HR; Trey Turner is 9 for 31 with a HR (and 12 K's). Rendon is 2 for 28.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 Good knowledge. That 6-for-18 may feed into the surprise of seeing Ramos out there.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 And ... he gets the strikeout just when he needed it. Two out.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 How does Alonso not get 2 errors on that play? It should have been an easy DP.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 Well, there were two outs already.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2019 Author Posted August 11, 2019 Had to have been the crappiest first inning in deGromian history. Yet he set them down in order in the second.Let'sFindGoodMojo
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 I used to think a Panik attack was a bad thing.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 Holy crap, McNeil and the first pitch!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 How does anybody throw him anything like a first-pitch strike?

Chad ochoseis Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 (edited) Gary is great almost all the time, but I cringe every time he discusses probability and statistics. Edited August 11, 2019 by Guest
smg58 Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 Just watched the error on replay. Isn't the catcher supposed to follow up the line on a play like that? (And isn't he supposed to catch the ball to prevent the third run from scoring?)
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 Ramos is a good hitter but boy, does he chug on the basepaths.
Guest 41Forever Guests Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 Jake's not gonna last too much longer, at 90 pitches now. Hopefully he gets a quick inning, but we've got a long stretch for the pen and Lugo after two last night probably isn't an option.
LWFS Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 Running Ramos, Conforto making crazy catches, INFIELD DEFENSE, dogs and cats living together
