nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted July 12, 2019 Posted July 12, 2019 Angels lead 13-0 bottom 8th. a combined no-hitter though 8 for Taylor Cole and Felix Pena after Cole pitched 2 innings and Pena has gone 6.they honored Tyler Skaggs tonight
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 This one was pretty freaky coming as it did on the night they honored Skaggs, and with his mother throwing out the first pitch (for a hard strike btw), and with them allwearing his jersey name/number, and on the day before what would have been Skaggs's 28th birthday.Meanwhile in Baltimore, Ryan Stanek (as an opener) and Ryan Yarborough (as the 'starter') are trying to do something Nolan Ryan never did - throw a perfect game. They're perfect thru 8
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 Base hit on the first pitch of the 9th inning.Clearly the opener/starter experiment is a failure.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted July 17, 2019 Posted July 17, 2019 Paddack the Padre has a no-no through six, perhaps determined to upstage his imaginary rival Pete Alonso on the day the Polar Bear crushed one 474 feet. It was a perfecto bid through five.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted July 17, 2019 Posted July 17, 2019 Paddack through seven. Preston Gomez has not taken him out.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted July 17, 2019 Posted July 17, 2019 Marlin Starlin Castro says Pete Alonso is a more impressive rookie, breaks up Chris Paddack's bid with a homer to lead off the eighth. Sorry, San Diego.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted July 17, 2019 Posted July 17, 2019 Chris "Don't Call Me Craig" Paddack comes out with a one-hitter after 7.2 IP.
