Meanwhile in Atlanta, JT Realmuto just banked a liner off pitcher Sean Newcomb's head. And not a glancing blow either as the carom took the ball high over the 3rd base dugout and off the netting there.

Seemed to come out of it unhurt but was immediately removed anyway.

On Friday night, the Phils held several leads -- 5-1, and later 7-2 -- but wound up coughing up one in the 6th, two in the 7th, two more in the 8th, then three in the 9th to lose 9-8





So we're not the only ones with bullpen problems apparently.

In Colorado, also on Friday, the Rox took a six run lead over the Padres into the 9th but allowed the Pads to tie it, and then gave up five more in the 12th

Rox lead 9-3 after six, and 10-4 after seven.

Final score = 16-12 in 12 innings in a 5+ hour Coors special

I don't like that this game has closed to 6-3 while the offense has gone into shut-down mode as if they're trying to just sit on the lead.

Also not fond of the fact that it took just shy of two hours to get thru five innings. The ump injury had a little to do with it, but still.
