kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 I dunno, maybe I should wait until the first inning starts?NYM (27‑27) Noah Syndergaard (RHP, 3-4, 4.93)LAD (36‑19) Walker Buehler (RHP, 5-1, 3.58)
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 Syndy needs to come off my shit list. I can;t believe I'm saying this but he needs to be more like Matz
batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 Syndergaard's starting to remind me a little bit of Nolan Ryan. Thor's not struggling as much as Ryan did early in his career but I'm starting to wonder if Syndergaard's ever gonna have that dominant unhittable season or seasons that everyone was sure he would've had already, and if he ever does have those seasons, whether they'll happen in a Mets uniform.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 Does anyone know who's pitching for the Dodgers? Anyone?
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2019 Author Posted May 29, 2019 I was gonna try that, but figured I'd lay an egg...

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 So much goodness. Please shine tonight, Smitty.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 Be nice if we could snag this one, whether because of Syndy or despite him, cuz the matchup for tomorrow sure doesn't favor our cause.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 Alonso drives in Smith! they can play together!
Guest 41Forever Guests Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 I love Pete Alonso. And now we can start voting to get him in the All-Star Game starting lineup!
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 Get your shit together, Synderpaants

It's like the best starting pitcher in baseball against the worst.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 Would have been nice if Hecchavarria had still been on base to score via Syndergaard's hit.Not sure that his 'suicide run' towards 3rd was necessary, particularly with only one out, but I suppose that after Monday night's running debacles, he just wanted to make sure.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 We can't give this lead up, but we've given that lead up
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 This game is like a blueprint for Noah's whole season: pitches get fouled off forever, but not swung through, until one finally goes fair and finds a hole somewhere. And then if there are runners on the whole situation gets even worse. It's obvious that he's missing that killer slider but there also seems to be a degree of bad luck involved. Aside from the pop-ups/high-flies tonight, I think every ball they've hit tonight (except for maybe one right at Conforto) has found some grass and whether those balls are hit hard or not seems irrelevant.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 In the meantime, the odds of this game ending prior to 2 AM EDT are dropping rapidly.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 Alonso is turning out to be pretty good
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 I havent been to Citi yet this year, MVP chants for Alonso yet?
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 Gomez screws up the catch at the wall but cuts down Seager at 3B!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 Go-Go didn't know where the wall was. But he knew where third base was.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 'How many times do you see it, where the guy who makes a great tag to end the inning leads off the next half?'
LWFS Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 Rose tattoo, more like it. That wasn't a terrible pitch he hit.
