Gregor Blanco reportedly gets a minor league deal.

He used to be a pretty good player to have as he can play all 3 positions, hit singles and steal bases, but he's 34 and coming off the worst stretch of his career 217/262/317 in 200 PAs with the Giants last season. That's pretty stinky.

Having experience in AAA, especially at positions where we don't have any mostly-baked prospects, never hurts. Hopefully neither Blanco nor Davis will see too much time in Queens, but emergencies have happened often enough in the last couple of years to justify having a plan C, D, and E.
