Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2018 Posted October 4, 2018 [u:1skldbmf]Game 1[/u:1skldbmf]Brews are pitching a "bullpen game" and are hanging on to a 2-0 lead in the 7th, a 2R Yelich HR in the 3rd accounts for all the runs.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2018 Author Posted October 4, 2018 Despite Yelich being (thus far) the hero of the game, teammate Ryan Braun is pissed at him.Twice Braun has hit hard line-drives with Yelich on base only to have Yelich initially mis-read them. Once it cost Braun a hit (Yelich forced at 2nd) and once it cost him an RBI (held at 3rd)
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2018 Posted October 4, 2018 MLB starting postseason games at 2 PM and 5 PM EST, rather than having multiple prime time games happening simultaneously, is turbo-stupid. I think this every year. Fuck your ratings and advertising money. Let these teams play when fans are home to watch.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2018 Author Posted October 4, 2018 And, once again, the LF/RF umpires prove to be useless.Seems like there have been a numerous calls in recent years where the extra umps, the ones out there to rule solely on fair/foul calls, have gotten them wrong. This time at least a potential game-changing hit was reversed on replay. In most of the previous occasions those calls stay miscalled and usually in favor of the Yanx.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted October 4, 2018 Posted October 4, 2018 Tie game!Tough play for Arcia but to me his chalantness was not all there.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2018 Posted October 4, 2018 Milwaukee wastes a great "bullpen start" by blowing the lead in the ninth.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2018 Posted October 7, 2018 Congratulations Grandy and the Brewers. Looking forward to listening Ueck call the NLCS versus whichever team we can't stand that emerges as Milwaukee's opponent, likely L.A.Sorry the Rockies tumbled without a sound, but it doesn't deter from a rousing regular season and a Wild Card triumph. That stuff will feel good somewhere along the way.
