The numbers for the Mets at home are pretty inept:

.214/.291/.341 for a whopping .632 OPS. Also, despite playing seven more games at Citi Field than away from home, the road Mets are out-homering the home Mets 67-49; and out-doubling them 104-80.

So what's the explanation...
Injuries? I might buy that but their performance on the road has been better (.741 OPS to .632).
Bad luck? Maybe, but 61 games is no longer a super-small sample size.

So I ask you, CPF, why can't the Mets hit at home?

it's just bad luck, streakiness. Michael Conforto for whatever reason has gotten himself out of his slumps while on the road. Just odd groupings, like the way they don't score for deGrom.

Matt Harvey has a higher wRC+ at home(Citi Field) this year than Frazier, Conforto, Mesoraco, Rosario

1. Lame between-inning promotions
2. Devin Mesoraco's walk-up music infects entire club
3. Entire approach to crowd engagement serves to pacify crowd and deaden HFA
4. Piano Man
5. Road Annie "slumpbusters"

srsly, we were talking about this at the game when I accidently got jumbotronned while pretending to like Piano Man: Billy Joel has had enough songs that every Met fan knows by heart that they could probably play a different BJ hit 81 times a year and STOP BEING SO FUCKING BANAL.

Get it together, Fred! Buy a goddamn album!

They're not exactly knocking down the fences at Camden Yards, either.
