Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 Can we put up some crooked numbers, boys? Hell, it's been nearly six weekssince Jacob's last win. NYM RH Jacob deGrom (5-5, 1.71 ERA) PIT RH Trevor Williams (8-7, 4.11)

Callaway hasn't done it since June 19 in Colorado.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted July 29, 2018 Posted July 29, 2018 Whether on the mound OR notching extra-base hits with less than two out, our guy can't buy help.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted July 29, 2018 Posted July 29, 2018 Speaking of un-purchasable things... my attendance at a Zac Brown Band-plus-Onerepublic twofer.
Guest 41Forever Guests Posted July 29, 2018 Posted July 29, 2018 I see we’re giving deGrom the customary level of support.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2018 Posted July 29, 2018 We should just preemptively forfeit deGrom games. It would save wear and tear on him and the outcome would be the same anyway.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted July 29, 2018 Posted July 29, 2018 (edited) I mean, but then we'd miss stuff like that thar slider to retire Marte. Edited July 29, 2018 by Guest
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted July 29, 2018 Posted July 29, 2018 Aaaaaaand there's a two-out run, and that's the ballgame.
batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2018 Posted July 29, 2018 Is Callaway gonna let deGrom hit? I'm not asking what you would do. What Callaway would do.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted July 29, 2018 Posted July 29, 2018 Yes. And deGrom will again get the only hit in the inning.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2018 Posted July 29, 2018 I almost want them to trade deGrom to somebody who can score some runs for him.Almost.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted July 29, 2018 Posted July 29, 2018 [sarcastic clapping]
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted July 29, 2018 Posted July 29, 2018 Just... embarrassing.
Guest cooby Guests Posted July 29, 2018 Posted July 29, 2018 Please. Let’s keep him and Thor until we can find a team that can make them winners
Guest cooby Guests Posted July 29, 2018 Posted July 29, 2018 We cannot deal out our good cards.Geez louise I wish I had some say

I volunteer me, my 8 cats, my mom, and my dad in law (in a home) to effing replace the Mets.if things continue to suck I’ll throw in my hubby, kids, inlaws abd grandkids Finally my 8 cats but really at that point it’d just be embarrassing for the team (but hella better for me)Marnie already can bat better than half the Mets and she lives under my bed
batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2018 Posted July 29, 2018 Tonight's loss drops the Mets into last place as they play leapfrog with ineptitude rivals, the Miami Marlins. More important, the Mets gain two slots as they jockey for position in next year's amateur draft. If the season ended today, the Mets'd pick sixth. Yesterday, they would've drafted eighth.Gotta root for something.

Beats rooting for Jason Vargas.
