If Bernie Sanders is in attendance, be sure to get an interview on his
feelings about the current June swoon.

I feel like I should try to swing one of these but I don't know that I can convince the wife to do bedtimes alone.

On the other hand, the Mets suck and a 9:30 fall asleep in the car bedtime when we left early isn't the end of the world if I took the nearly 4 year old..

Hey, it's the Pirates blowing the fundies!

Refreshingly fun to watch. They threw the ball everywhere except into the stands.

Matz is rolling.

The Pirates slowed his roll a little in the 5th. Tie ball game.

No. Slows down the game

And they couldn't see that was a catch?!
I could see it was from South Jersey. Oy! These umps!

On the other hand, Conforto, who gives me no comfort to see at the plate, goes

I was in the midst of writing about how I guess that 1st inning -- a single in amongst a couple of wild pitches -- was to be the extent of our offense tonight ... and then Conforto HR'd

So I'm taking credit on the reverse psychology thing.

I hope these twitter linked posts don't ever fade away.
It's nice to be able to have a record of the kaBOOM itself.

Subtext of that whole play is that Cabrera is falling apart.

The problem was Cabby could not jump high enough to make a good DP pivot. A bench clearing discussion ensues.

Yeah, he had a vertical leap of about three inches.

He also failed to let his momentum carry him across the bag and out of the crosshairs of a direct hit from the runner.

Got to that last one, though. I confess I had my doubts.
