Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 Eighty seven hours from now, when the Mets play again. Steven Matz vs Gio Gonzalez, 1:10 start.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 It would really be a great time for Matz to step up.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2018 Author Posted April 6, 2018 Fridays without a scheduled game are hella stupid.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2018 Posted April 6, 2018 Yeah, but fortunately it's just an anomaly because Thursday was the Nationals home opener. There are no more vacant Fridays remaining on the schedule.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2018 Posted April 6, 2018 They seem to have taken the precip out of the DC forecast for Saturday afternoon.Showers ending around 7 AM Saturday. Cloudy & 41 at game time w/not much wind.Hardly ideal, but not as bad as earlier projections.Sunday won't be much warmer, but at least the sun will be out. Oh wait, no it won't ... it's an April night game?!!?!
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2018 Posted April 6, 2018 Matz Saturday, Harvey Sunday?
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted April 6, 2018 Posted April 6, 2018 That's what they're saying, at least for now.

Yankees and Red Sox play in-division but not each other so they want to save it I guess.Cubs Brewers? meh I guess.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 NOAA- DC-Today - A chance of rain, snow, and sleet before 11am, then a slight chance of rain and snow between 11am and 1pm, then a slight chance of rain after 1pm. Cloudy, with a high near 46. North wind 8 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 Nice inning for Matz. That swing-and-miss by Harper was quite satisfying.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 Interesting booth tidbit earlier; Mets set a record over the first 6 gameswith the most strikeouts ever to start a season. (forgive me, I forget the number but it was a high number)
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 I guess Mickey likes Matz as a hitter. He was swinging away with one out and a runner on first. It didn't work out; Steven hits into an inning-ending double play.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 Nice play by Lagares! Runner from second thrown out at home on a single up the middle.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 Nice save by Flores on d'arnaud's throw.Mets unis are vivid colorful like a 1967 Topps baseball card.

Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 Matz 8 K's through five, pitch count getting up there.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 d'Arnaud ties her up.Our catchers rool.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 d'Arnaud and his hoodie go RBIOoofa!
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 Frazier, d'Arnaud, Bruce, three hits in a row
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 Lagares & Reyes flop. Could been a biggie inning
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 Rosario leads off with a hit as the tying run.Hit and run, Mets!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 Big test for Mickey. Conforto hits for Flores, so does he go into right with Bruce moving in to first? We need to make that move, Mick.METS TAKE THE LEAD!
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 Watching this in DC, and boy do I miss GKR. These guys are awful.
