A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 SNY and WOR. Conforto makes his spring debut. I am unreasonably happy over his return.

Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 I don't really understand this. If Michael Conforto is healthy enough to play in a spring training game today, and play in minor league games until today, then why would he not be healthy enough to play on Opening Day a week from now?
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2018 Author Posted March 23, 2018 Guessing it would only be to get more reps and get timing down. Maybe he won't need it.
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2018 Author Posted March 23, 2018 Not watching very closely, but the homie Gagnon (#91, no name on his jersey) is getting beat up a little bit. 2.2, 4 H, 2 ER, just got his first K.

Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 I don't follow the news as closely as I could, but I just assumed that he'sahead of schedule and agree that if he's ok play he's ok to play?
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 If he's going to play Grapefruit games it means they can't backdate his DL stint either. I feel like this is leading towards Opening Day. Sucks to be Nimmo. wonder if anyone wants Bruce?
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2018 Author Posted March 23, 2018 Yeah I imagine if he's ready to go, they won't keep him in PSL or send him to Vegas just because. Not sure if 6 days of game action is enough to get him major league ready, but I'd rather have an mostly-ready Conforto than a fully-ready den Dekker.
