Not worried about Big Harv. At best he'll rebound in the next few starts. At worst it's a down year for him and he'll be back to his old self next year. Either way there's no physical damage and, unlike me, I don't believe he's stupid enough to throw away his potential hundreds of millions for booze, pills or coke.

No work for me tomorrow so I'm having a double espresso in preparation for the 10:00 start. In the meantime I'm watching the Jankees and hoping a loss for them will dovetail nicely into the first inning in San Diego.

Just as soggy in SW CT and my daughter's soccer game is a go. The MLB has to be tougher than 15 year-old girls, no?

Giants unis are top 5 in MLB. Those matte black batting helmets are pretty sweet too.

I was there last night. There were a lot of peeps, it was a good crowd. I was extra thrilled when Yoenis hit the salami because I knew when he hit it that it was a new Met record for runs in an inning. I had been in attendance at Shea in '77(?) when the Mets scored 10 in an inning to set the record against the Reds(?) and I was also there in 2000 for the 10 run inning against the Braves. So for a good 12 hours - until I read this morning that they scored 11 in an inning against the Cubs at Wrigley in '06 - I was certain I was the only person to be in attendance at all three games where the Mets scored in double digits in one inning. Alas it is not so, however at least I can say that is true for home games.

I'm concerned about team-wide .194 with RISP. I'm assuming that they won't hit continue to hit HRs at their current pace and even if they do, I don't particularly like that type of one-dimensional offense.
