  1. Liked it - gave it 3. Tarantino has a lot to live up to every time he makes a movie. 'Reservoir Dogs' and 'Pulp Fiction' are a difficult standard by which to be judged. I thought the first scene and the scene in the basement bar were fantastic.
  2. I really enjoyed this movie. Like 'Blackhawk Down' you really get a sense of the chaos and fear that must exist in Iraq. More than the war though, what you get from this movie is an outstanding performance from an actor I've never heard of, Jeremy Renner, as Sergeant William James. Renner gives you everything he's got. You understand why Sergeant James is the way he is and why does the things he does. No hard sell from the actor here. You just get it. The scenes are tense and believable and the supporting cast does their job. It does have a few scenes that go too long but what movie doesn't? All in all a very good movie and I highly recommend it. I give it 4 IEDS.
  3. An intense portrayal of elite soldiers who have one of the most dangerous jobs in the world: disarming bombs in the heat of combat. When a new sergeant, James, takes over a highly trained bomb disposal team amidst violent conflict, he surprises his two subordinates, Sanborn and Eldridge, by recklessly plunging them into a deadly game of urban combat. James behaves as if he's indifferent to death. As the men struggle to control their wild new leader, the city explodes into chaos, and James' true character reveals itself in a way that will change each man. Written by BWR Public Relations
  4. I saw it yesterday and liked it (3.5 stars), but I'm really a casual fan. Although I am familiar with the Shatner, Nimoy series I prefer TNG over than the original. Why was Kirk eating an apple during that scene significant?
  5. I'll go for 'Bull' on this one.
  6. McFly, you Irish bug.
  7. They're getting tougher now in the later rounds. I went 'Die Hard'.
  8. Going to buy mittens and sweaters today.
  9. If I knew someone who skateboarded I would totally get them the product that is advertised after the 'Fast Times' trailer ends. That thing is gnarley.
  10. I so did not like 'Field Of Dreams'.
  11. If 'Fast Times' loses I'm moving to Canada.
  12. Centerfield wrote: Terminator. And it's not even close. Completely agree.
  13. Not a tough choice at all - Princess Bride all the way.
  14. "Indy, the floor. It moves." "Asps. Very dangerous. You go first."
  15. Well, when someone meets the real Roy Hobbs let me know.
  16. There was a real Crash Davis?
  17. Tough one but I went for Bull Durham.
  18. Rain Man.
  19. Trading Places.
  20. I went with the touchstone.
  21. I voted FOR Stripes, Road Warrior and Karate Kid. I'm basing my votes on which movie I liked more, whatever the reason.
  22. My aunt played the gypsy fortune teller, Madame Ruby, in Pee-Wee.
