  1. And suddenly Marshall looks like Kerry Wood in his rookie year. An 11 pitch, 2K inning.
  2. I left out the word steaming--- perponderous piles of steaming poo. Oliver does his job. Inning over (fiiiiinally). 5-0--that aint allAdat. Winds blowing out at Wrigley- the Mets are still in this. They just have to start lighting up that Cubbie pitcher Marshall like an Xmas tree in the middle of July.
  3. metirish wrote: This game is quickly turning to crap. Turning? (sl=1000) (sarcastic look) It was heaping piles of poo out of the gate. lol. Thats all for ElDouque. He cant get out of the 2nd and the Cubs have scored 3 more.
  4. ScarletKnight41 wrote: In a new low for drivel, the ESPN crew is speculating that El Duque's problems stem from his psychological distaste for throwing to a catcher named Castro. I was trying to find a way to phrase what I tought about this, but you hit the nail on the head. .......what she said^. Pierre steals second, Barrett doubles him in. DaJaVu all over again.
  5. ScarletKnight41 wrote: Lovely - the pitcher homers against El Puque. Oliver - get in there NOW!!! And that lil knat Pierre singles. yea--go get him give him the hook- send him to the showers- ...any more cliches? I kid. This is dismal.
  6. Cubs pitcher Marshall goes yard. Cripes.
  7. After all that the Cubs only end up plating 2. Could have been way worse. And i would think your right SK- getting 4 innings out of Hernandez would be nice. According to CBSsl he threw 42 pitches that inning.
  8. ScarletKnight41 wrote: El Duque is pitching pretty pukey this evening At this point I think he's trying to be too dileberate. So of course, he walks Mabry and that bastage Murton. Hes gotta get out of it here-close the door here-pull the string- any more cliches? Damn! They had the bastage Murton picked off and dont get the call! UGH.
  9. Floyd cant make the play on Ramirez's drive to the ivy in left- Barrett scores- Ramirez pulls into second with a double. I would have thought the shadows would favor ElDuke at games start- not the case.
  10. Barrett doubles home Pierre with a shot down the 3rd baseline. 1-0 Cubs.
  11. Suddenly Pierre plays like he should have all season- singles to lead off the game and immediatly steals second.
  12. Mets get a break on Woodwards pop up, which gets lost between 2nd and center and falls in for a single, but the Mets can't capitalize on it. Beltraan and Degado fly out and ground out. ElDouque to take the mound at Wrigley.
  13. Mets sent Owens down right after yesterdays game. I was a bit surprised.
  14. Loopers 6-1 this season---probly due to his own blown leads, but still.
  15. SteveJRogers wrote: Yeah, bad typo, D Wright at third, I'm going to keep that up for the laughs of it! I aint laughin'.......lol. Okay, Im chucklin'- Chucklin' at that ESPN Cubs opening to the game too- "...the transporter will be developed before the Cubs win it all again."
  16. You sure you dont want to pound out a deal for Jennings, smg58? I wasnt gonna make a move til I saw who got Pelfrey. I didnt think I had a snowballs chance, bein 12th in line on the wire when he became available. I dont really want to deal Jennings, but Ill propose a countertrade. If you go for it, I wont be able to refuse.
  17. Valentin: 1 LoDuca: .5 Beltran: .5 Wright: 1 Floyd: 1 Woodward: .7 Trachsel: 3.3 Heilman: .7 Sanchez: .8
  18. Im happy to hear Fonzies back in the organization.
  19. Valentin: 1.7 Delgado: .5 Chavez: 1 Glavine: 1 Feliciano: .6 Maine: 1
  20. ....almost. Dempster puts me out of my misery with a 1-2-3 ninth. What started out as a pitching duel, turned into one of those games youd just as soon forget- everything simply turned against the Mets. I blame Murton, and that at bat he worked off Bradford. That turned the tide.
  21. Maine with a behind the back web gem- snags the grounder behind him and turns it into a DP. Nice. Almost makes watching the rest of this game worthwhile.
  22. Maine to pitch some relief, and promptly gives up a line hit to right that Nady plays into a double. Then walks Lee. Can anybody here play this game,......this afternoon?
  23. OlerudOwned wrote: This game is dead to me now. lmao--i hear ya O_O.
  24. Edgy DC wrote: I'm blacked out by MLB.tv. All their fault. Some things are better left unseen Edgy. It was ugly.
  25. Mabry with a sac fly-- 9-2 Chicago. Owens left to get out of this inning, which he finally does.
