Im not used to being in a position like this. I dont mind if the Mets lose as long as no one gets hurt. Maybe I felt like that in 86 and 88, but I dont remember.

And they do. Mets get beat 5-0- a game LA needed much more than the Mets. Phils are winning 3-1, Ryan Howard hitting homeruns 55 and 56.

I just personally think 17 teams is too many. Too much maintenence - too much time studying the dregs of the major leagues. And 5x5 is boooooring. Thats just me.

Wow- Maine out- Oliver in. Pitching spot in the lineup leads off next inning. Guess they didnt want to squeeze one more out of Maine. And Oliver is greeted with a double.

Fucal goes yard against Maine. Deep center. Man, he got his arms extended on that swing. And Garciappara smacks one out to left. Mets down 4-0. Oh noooooooooooo-whew---Beltran robs a homer from of JD Drew. Yikes! If the Mets come back and win, I want credit for 2 IGT wins for having the gonads to start an IGT when the Mets were already losing 2-0.

The Dodgers just had the fastest half inning in the history of the game in the 2nd. I looked down to type and the inning was over. 1-2-3.

Reyes walks- is moved over by LoDuca, and is thrown out trying to steal 3rd. It was an excellent throw by LA catcher Martin that nabs him. Stealing 3rd down by 2 runs with Beltran at the plate.....mmmmm....I dunno.
