Anyone watching this? I suppose I'm rooting for the Rays here in the ALCS cause they are Davey to the BoSox Goliath. But that lil guy Dustin Pedroia shocks the carp outta me by smacking a 1st inning dinger. Its currently in the 3rd and Pedroia's line drive boomer is the only hit of the game at this point.

I didn't realize this til recently. I thought I was bummed at seasons end because the team failed to get to the post season. But being a Met fan for 40 years, this is really something I'm used to. For the team, there was/is always next year. But this was it for Shea.... This is what really bummed me out. That they couldn't get Shea to the post season one more time. That would have been the way send her off. Great pictures here posted by all, and really fun to view. Iubitul, your pictures of Shea are breathtaking. Absolutely breathtaking and beautiful. Everybody, thanks for sharing them.

THE SCHAEFER METS PLAYER OF THE YEAR, 2008
Zvon replied to Benjamin Grimm's topic in New York Mets Talk
A little late here ,sorry. The Schaefer Player Of The Game is one of the many things I really enjoy while taking dips here in the Pool. Santana deserved the award. Aaron?......what smg58 said^. I cheer for both. Your efforts are always much appreciated Ben. And as everyone said, the cards are fantastic. They really do bring me back to the past in a nostalgic way. I'm especially impressed by the Santana card back and how you matched the cardboard grainy look in the photo portrait. A tip of my hat> -
I do believe that's Chico Escuela.

Mets down by 2. Brewers up by 2. The stage is set for the last regular season miracle at Shea.

Thanks for the heads up on TBS. I really didn't expect to be able to see this game. This is a treat (no thanks to the Mets themselves tho, who should be airing this on CW11 so all can watch this final game at Shea)
