  1. Davis hits the 5th double!
  2. When was the last time the Mets hit 4 doubles in a row? I'm in no rush for the answer. I can wait.
  3. Thats some crazy shit. Good for 5 runs.
  4. [bigpurple:3rhs8gzi]BAY DOUBLES!! YIKES[/bigpurple:3rhs8gzi]
  5. Ike makes it back 2 back 2 back doubles!!!
  6. Mr. Wright doubles in two more!!
  7. Pagan puts us on the board Doubles in a run.
  8. From CBSsportsline:: Perez going to be out a while: The Daily News reports that Oliver Perez (knee tendinitis) is receiving treatment in Port St. Lucie, Fla., and has yet to begin his rehab. Perez is unlikely to return to the Mets when eligible on June 21. I'd love to see Ollie come back for us this season and do something good, anything good, from any pitching position or spot we put him in. But I really think our relationship has suffered permanent damage.

"That's Nolan Ryan the fastball pitcher, FOUR NO HITTERS!" ha
  10. As a Met, nothing. I could say many empty at bats but I won't. As a player, (this is sooo easyyyy) ..............the catch.

Not saying Halladay has got nothing left in the tank, but you never know when it's gonna run dry. Pitcher's tank sensors are very poor. Halladay got pwnd tonight bro. Throw me a pretzel.
  12. Nice read, nice win, glad I didn't follow the 9th live. Reyes makin things happen. Wright bustin it up the line. I love Ike, man. If Santana is hurtin, after the way he was keepin it mum last time, I hope the Mets know to check him out whether he wants it or not.

"It's a big challenge," Valentine said on the show. "I like big challenges, but I like to have some reward too, and the reward is in the standings and their standings don't look like they're going to turn around very quickly." At first I thought what does this even mean? Any way you look at this it's a kind of silly thing to say... Unless he's trying to say he wants assurances that he will be given the time to turn the team around and reap his "reward". If that's what he means it's brilliantly silly.
  16. I think I partied with that guy once.

So publicly, in case Met management were monitoring my movements, I denounced the team and held voodoo rituals in respect to Charles Payson and Grant. Mr. Payson gave the reigns to Lorinda, who gave them to Grant. Many blame Ms. de Roulet, but I considered her just a middlewoman. Anyways, I still followed the Mets from a distance (moved from NYC in '75) secretly with all my heart and did root for these guys. Hendu and Flynn to a large extent. I saw myself in Flynn, the kind of player I figured I'd be if I ever made it to the bigs. All glove, and maybe more bat than Pete. And we kinda looked alike.
