Saw West Side Story last night. First time in around 20 years. That should be on the list. Some will say it hasn't aged well but I feel the opposite. It perfectly reflects its time. And that long opening number, where they dance thru the streets... yea, looks odd and gayish, but no more so than it did in 1961.

I agree that pitching arms are always in need. I also agree that Jerrys bunting bidness borders on obsession. Sitting here at the PC, call it a perk.....I get to do that.

I like how they kept the Big A and stuck it in the parking lot. I'm quite surprised Shea's scoreboard gets no mention. I guess that last line means I'm supposed to mention it to them. Sorry, I won't bite.

I like Jerry M for the way he uses humor to defuse tense situations. Can he keep the Mets focused over the long haul? I'm not sure, but until he does something really wrong, he has my trust.

Got to watch the entire game on replay. For me the turning point was right before the granny. Swisher's bunt was a brilliant tactic in that situation. And making a pitcher who is already throwing fast balls slower than usual have to bust it in that heat, well....3 pitches later we saw the result. And that damn homer just made it out. Looks like it hit the top of the wall. DAMN U GOB! *shakes fist

I think sending him down was a great thing. Stretch him out. Let him get his work in. Might need him late in the season for spots. This kid could be a big chunk of our future success if the ball bounces that way.
