When the genius running the team picks Howard over Votto, and then picks Howard over Votto to start...you've got problems. And proceeds to take Halliday out of the game after 2 outs. If the game is gonna be managed as a showcase, like this, they can't have it effecting the WS like it does.
  3. WOW! A real honest to goodness full extension diving catch by Braun. I have a checklist of things I would like to see tonight. 1) Great catch _?_
  4. What does David have on his feet? Do those shoes light up?

Tim and Joe keep trying to manufacture "these guys never see each other" drama, but it's not working. To an extent. But there's still something kool about seeing all those different uniforms on one field. True. I can't believe they allowed Derek Jeter to strike out looking. DON'T THEY REALIZE HE'S IN MOURNING? lol. "Now mourning, number two,..Derek Jeter,...number two"

(Jokes on him, he'll have a couple of weeks to help plan) i'd be surprised if he _doesn't_ have a Sheppard introduction. Already recorded for his wedding? As gruesome as the implications would be, if he has that in the can for future useage.... that still would be pretty kool. Ha, Cano sucks.

  10. So she's from Glee. I don't watch that, but I did catch an ep early on this year, and that was the last time I got goosebumps. When I saw these two kids sing Lionel Richie's "Hello". It was beautiful. So I amend myself. It wasn't a long ,long, time ago. Anthem all sung. The most beautiful grass we've ever seen is ready to be played on. LETS GO N.L.![/bigpurple]
  11. Wow, I haven't had goosebumps in a long long time. I like this number and the images that we see with it. And I hear ya Doc. This game should have started at 8:17 the latest. ty batmag. I wanna see Reyes on a comfy table gettin his back rubbed.
  12. Thought Reyes was gonna be watching from the stands. He was introduced in the introduction line. Whats the deal with that? At 8:28 someone starts singing something. Hey, she's good.

Hey, I went to that game, in Philly. Whose got a lear jet? I need a flight to the west coast, asap. You're like the G-Fafif of All-Star Games. lol, yea. But I'm one for one.

  15. metirish wrote: Just finished watching CBS New with Katie Couric then the local CBS channel here in NY goes to a CBS Special " Remembering the Boss".....are you fucking kidding me..... I haven't even turned on the TV cause I don't wanna be over saturated. It'll be enough that tonight's game will be a tribute to him and his name will be mentioned around 714 times. I think he died last week, but had the time to tell one of his lieutenant's to sit on him til the All Star break. Sheppard discovered what was goin on and was gonna reveal it, so he had to be knocked off. That's my story and I'm stickin to it.

  17. If I ever had a brew with you, FK, I think I'd wanna just sit there and listen. And eat pretzels.

  19. That's a great post FK, ty for taking the time to share your knowledge . I do wanna make a joke here but first I will respect the man and salute him.
  20. Ya know what, I'm gonna get into this. Its all the baseball I'm gonna get tonight. Its the longball. Its what baseball is anymore! Its.....awwwwww, its over.
  21. This is on the TV, but I just can't get into it for some reason. I did pay attention when Will Farrell was talking, but he was off in a few minutes. If they had Will doin the entire derby as Harry Caray I'd be paying attention.
  22. Ceetar wrote: Davis has a good game yesterday, but he's been slumping for a while. He needed to be dropped down, Beltran was coming back anyway..kinda works for me. Agreed #714. Davis needs to adjust to the adjustments made on him. He has been, but slowly. I have no problem with that. I think he's the kind of guy that does everything slow, but ends up doing it to the best of his ability (fireman joke cocked and ready) cause it sticks. Beltran 4? I think we have to. Until someone else can clean up with power. Wright can't do everything. Bay....what can I say? Davis will work his way back up there, I hope, cause I really don't think Beltran is a cleanup hitter. He can be, and he will be for a bit, but I don't think thats his best slot. If no one else can smack longballs on a more consistent basis, right now, he's the best for that slot.

I hear ya. I'll keep you busy. You play the accordion? No, but I can whistle in tune to "My Guy"..Ryan Howard is stick to Chalie Manuel like gluebecause he is "My Guy". I think they are gay for each other, NTTAWWT. As a matter of fact, I have nasty thoughts pertaining to Howards nose myself. I think I could *^$% &%@$ #^@*!* and %$@^* $&*#%^ if I had enough liquor in me.
