  1. Ugh. Now Ive seen everything! Mets set up for the appeal play and Byrdak throws the pitch, with Murph standing on 2nd waitin for the ball. yikes!
  2. Nice basic baseball. Ike doubles, we plate him with 2 productive groundouts. 4-3 them.

  6. K Hef, settle down. We'll get ya 3 asap
  7. talk about a boot. Error all the way Gary.
  8. Harper may only be 19 but he sure knows how to make a running catch look like a diving catch.
  9. IGT GOOOOD GAME BAAAAD
  10. I was gonna go with mass of jitteryjoo, but I don't cover all that much ground.

Ive been to one no-hittier (Wilson Alverez-91or92) and I remember in the ninth I was so nervous cause I wanted it to happen so bad, I wanted to see one live so bad. I can see from the bets that you didn't think it was actually gonna happen, but didn't it effect your nerves at all? Not nervous at all. Probably because I was so completely certain it wasn't going to happen. Excited sure, but nervous? Nope. Wowzers. I would have been a wreck. From home I was excited and a little nervous, not nearly as much as I was at the no-no I witnessed. If I was at Citi for the game, in the 9th I would have been a slibbering, slobbering pile of jitteryjoo.

  14. GG folks. And another win!

  16. TY guys for setting me straight on the shutouts in a row (only half here last few). I thought that sounded wacky.
  17. batmagadanleadoff wrote: Re the ESPN Bay talk -- is anyone here clamoring for Bay's return? Not I. Not the Bay we have had in Queens. THROW STRIKES PARNELL DAGNABBITT!
  18. 1976 was the last time the Mets had 3 shutouts in a row? Wow.
  19. 6-0 No way our pen can give this game back...right? Right? Okay, lets try and relax.
  20. metsguyinmichigan wrote: So does Kirk ride the pine when Bay comes back? Kirk to right, Duda to first and Ike to get his head together in Buffalo? Good questions. We gotta give Bay a lil time to see if he can get himself goin, just cause he is paid to be our left fielder. If he can't then he sits, np by me. I prefer Kirk to Torres in center (& Torres just smacks a triple, lol). Ikes problems could work into this scenario, and maybe to the teams benefit. But bottom line is we need Ike doing what we know he can do.
  21. Freese out at the plate! Woot! Thnx guys, re:KBs. I'll have to make new ones for the new guys.
  22. Captain Kirk
